Application No. 224: Validation of epMotion TMX System for use with the Prepfiler Automated Forensic DNA Extraction Kit
An internal validation was performed using PrepFiler Forensic DNA Extraction Kit. While the kit provided comparable DNA yields to that of the phenol-chloroform method, the manual extraction process was still time consuming. In order to reduce turn around time and prevent a backlog of samples, the epmotion 5075 TMX was purchased to allow us to automate the extraction process.
